Orderly books, 1781.

Orderly books, January 30, 1781 - April 23, 1781 and August 5?, 1781 - October 2, 1781. The first volume includes Washington's headquarters orders from New Windsor, West Point garrison orders, division, brigade and regimental orders; it was kept by the adjutant Libbeus Loomis. The second volume is an orderly book for Captain Elias Stillwell's company in the regiment; it includes headquarters orders of Washington from Dobbs Ferry, general orders of Heath at Peekskill, right wing orders of William Alexander, Lord Stirling, division, brigade and regimental orders, some dated from Continental Village (near Peekskill). It also contains resolutions of the Continental Congress.
